(When finished, remove the email account from your "test computer", or uncheck the box before, "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing. If the error DOES OCCURE, it is likely a problem beyond the two computers, perhaps the email ISP. If an error DOES NOT OCCURE, the problem is likely the first computer, on which you continue to get the error. To do this: Go to another computer ("Test Computer"), set up the problem email account in OE, and attempt to download any messages without receiving the error on this "Test Computer".
If you still get an error, you need to see if it is your computer or the email server. (This worked for me and it was A QUICK SOLUTION!)

If it checks the account without causing an error, youre back in business, plus you have all the accumulated messages in another In-box, if you forwarded them for safe keeping to another email address. Return to OE and press the Send/Receive button to see if OE will download (i.e., check the account for any possible messages). Freeware tags: tweak system, tweak windows, internet explorer tweaker, tweak, tweaker, system. Once there, empty the (web-based) In-box by either deleting all the messages, or save them by forwarding them to one of your (working) email accounts, and then delete the WEB-BASED In-box of all messages.Ģ.
